A Rare Morning

I'm writing this on a very rare morning. It's 7:30 and both kids are still fast asleep. What a treat not only for me, but for our loyal fans as well - I have an opportunity for uninterrupted updating about our goings-on.

Life around our house it getting more and more fun as Hudson begins to speak in sentences and carry on small conversations. (However, he's not completely reliable when trying to get info from him. His answer to most questions is "yes.") Maren is really moving and has quite a cute personality herself. She's about to take off. She's getting the hang of crawling backwards and is almost able to coordinate her hands and knees in a forward motion. She's happy as can be spending most of her day on the floor. And we obviously don't feed her enough...

We were growing Hudson's hair out, but Mommy got sick of the daily messiness of it, so it got buzzed. We used to keep it short like this, so it's not like I've never seen it, but he just looks so different! Here's a before and after.

Hudson spends about an hour each morning having his personal play time (he calls it purse time). This day he played a little too hard. He has about every toy and book found in his room in bed with him, and he's fallen asleep. This was a first, I do believe.

So there you have it. This is unbelievable. My kids are still asleep! Isn't it typical that this happens on a day I decide to get up and showered before they wake up...
