While certainly not the only note-worthy happening since the last post almost eight months ago, it's a place to begin, right?

Hudson and cousin Aubrey were dressed up like a mini groom and bride to do their thing at Nick's cousin's wedding at the beginning of August. None of us quite knew how it would go (you see, Hudson isn't necessarily into that kind of thing - the dressing up, the performing in front of people, the posing for pictures), but with proper encouragement, both of the kids did just wonderful (though I don't think there was ever any doubt about Aubrey)!

Summer Summary

It seems I've been neglecting this little blog. Not that you care, if there are still any of you reading this. We're well beyond the harassment to update stage. I can only assume you've all given up. I would have by now. But alas, I will blog again. More for my own sake than yours. If I neglect the blog the way I do, imagine the kids' scrapbooks. :) We have to have some record of their childhood! So, I'll begin again. Starting where we left off...SUMMER, which is fun to remember in light of these sub-zero temps.

Little Lady

Yesterday was a big day for Miss Maren. She's growing up. She had her first experience with lipstick -unsupervised I might mention. She certainly knew what it was and where it went.

And she got a big girl bed. She did well for her first night, minus the wandering around in the middle of the night and the extra early wakeup time. We'll get the hang of it. We weren't exactly planning on purchasing and using the bed last night, so she has no cute bedding. Disregard that.
